Mount Snow Ski Vacations

Located in beautiful Vermont, Mount Snow is the one of the largest ski resorts in the Eastern United States with over 135 trails and 26 lifts (20 chair lifts and six surface lifts) to get you around. The mountain reaches to a top elevation of 3600 feet, and has a vertical drop of 1,700 feet.

They offer a variety of different winter ski vacation packages at Mount Snow many of these packages are really great money-saving deals designed for families. Another nice convenience they offer is childcare, where the kids will be taken care of, and can learn to ski there, too. The adults don’t have to be left out of the learning process either! Both group and private lessons are available.

Mount Snow is a very family oriented place. For one, they use a unique ‘back-to-base’ trail system that helps keep everyone in your family from getting lost. They also offer discounts for children; kids under the age of six ski and ride for free. When an adult buys a three to five day ticket during mid-week, his or her child receives a free ticket for that same time period as well. During January, the “Kids Ski & Learn Free” weeks seem to be the most popular family deals.

Snowboarders are also welcome, and Mount Snow even has a ‘kids only’ terrain park as well as a special tubing park. Other winter activities at Mount Snow include enchanting sleigh rides, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. During certain times of the year, mountain biking and golfing are also available. There is a ski shop on the premises and rental equipment is available.

As for lodging, the Grand Summit Hotel and Crown Club, which is very highly rated, sits right off the slopes, where guests can enjoy a heated outdoor pool and ski in/ski out accommodations. There really is something to suit everyone at this full service hotel.

After an exciting day on the slopes, you should head over to Mount Snow’s full service health spa where you can treat yourself to a variety of different massages or one of their various skin treatments. Spa packages are also available, including spas for couples, and wedding parties are also welcome. There is also a fully equipped health club where fitness classes including yoga, pilates, and aerobics are offered. There is always something to do at Mount Snow – even if doing nothing but simply relaxing is on your agenda!

When you are ready to eat, you have you r choice between Harriman’s Restaurant & Pub and the Grand Country Deli that are both on the mountain to choose from as well.
